Feeling at Home

After a long day in the Powys countryside, or exploring the market town of Welshpool, guests can relax in our pleasant rooms, which boast digital, flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and free WIFI internet access. Crisp laundered white sheets and fluffy towels add an extra touch of comfort and contribute to the relaxed atmosphere at the Westwood which makes guests return again and again.

A hearty Welsh breakfast, using ingredients sourced locally, sets our guests up for the day, and although we do not provide evening meals we can give honest and genuine advice on where to eat locally according to your needs and tastes. Alternatively, we invite guests to bring takeaway or snack foods to enjoy in our dining room. We can provide plates and cutlery, leaving you to simply enjoy your meal.

Tich and Diane, landlords, are dog lovers, and small dogs are welcome in rooms, whereas larger dogs can be accommodated in a secure, lockable caged area. Fudge, the Westwood’s resident jack russell dog is often on hand to greet guests and extend an extra warm welcome with her sweet temperament.

The Westwood is an ideal stop on the Offa’s Dyke, Glyndwr Way and Severn Way walks, and we can offer advice on routes and arrange luggage transfer for walkers. For motorcyclists, we can provide a secure area with CCTV for overnight parking.
